A Message to the Black Woman and the Republican Party

I have no problems with female leadership, political or otherwise. The thing to contemplate however is that it is one thing to lead the basketball team because you are 6’1” and everyone else is 5’10”. It is quite another matter to lead the team because you actually have skills. Do you actually have skills or are you just 6’1” and simply the tallest person they could find to build a team around that ‘looks’ competitive on the court? I’m going to offer some hints although I do not want this to be interpreted as a critique of Black Women. I have no inhibitions against female leadership, just poor leadership.

Problem 1 with the new Black womanist/feminist wave: If you’re going to work hard and amass significant political power without using it for your own (the Black Community) internal economic development I think this is problematic. It is great to amass this Black voting bloc to sway politics but you could just as easily spark and fund private infrastructure development and economic development in urban communities with the same exact power and it would be easier in that there is just one level of political convincing; that is, convincing we ninjas to invest in our own communities instead of the damn lotto.

As it stands, the Abrams-Bottoms-Clyburn-Obama political machine has convinced African America to wield its voting power simply for the benefit of white liberal Democrat politicians and white mainstream Democrat political machinery. I’m not arguing they shouldn’t do it, I am suggesting that they can do more with it than elect Democrats and thus cajole and convince the white mainstream government to ‘help’ you or create new laws or accentuate some government program for you. You could easily add public school imagery and improvement to the list of things the Abrams-Bottoms-Clyburn-Obama power nexus could use the same power they coalesced to put Biden, Warnock and Ossoff in office behind ninja economic development and urban renewal infrastructure. But alas and no, Stacy, Barack & Michelle, Clyburn and I fear Keisha are content to ask for more items from the government and white mainstream trough in exchange for high positions in the Democratic Party and broader mainstream political society.

What is altogether worse is how our current crop of young Black female politicians support traditional white feminist and the politicized homosexual agendas no questions asked while notions of Black Christianity and the Black family get swept under the rug and put on the backburner. I love those scenes in every melodrama about a dramatic rise to power and fame where the central character’s family and support network has to listen to another speech about how the central character is ‘doing it all for them’. Later in the story arc, right before the dénouement a child speaks up and says ‘no mama, you hang out with your new friends and don’t eat the things you used to eat for you mama, not us’! That is the primary danger of the Black woman’s current political position.

The second danger is in depending on white liberals. Stacy, Bottoms, AOC and Clyburn can talk about the power of the “New Coalition” all they want but the likelihood of facing a Republican presidential candidate in the next election cycle or so as polarizing, uninspiring and as clearly incompetent as Trump is slim to none (which in itself doesn’t mean he’s not a viable 2024candidate). In light of the fact the Republicans have publicly announced they are focusing all of their staffing and political energies towards dethroning Stacy Abrams they are going to use her like they use Pelosi in motivating the Republican base. Clearly that is a ‘dog whistle’ they think they can blow. Like it or not Abrams is the face of the “New Coalition” and as talented as these women are, when and if the time comes to have to or need to or want to reach out to the White working classes, their gig and their hustle is played out.

Believe it or not there is a lot of space in White mainstream conservative circles for a talented moderate. Preferably he needs to be white, southern, well educated, under 60, relatively happily married (to a woman), has had Black or Latino friends for significant periods of his life, hunts & fishes, drinks beer or enjoys cocktails (maybe even to occasional excess) and be some relatively common variety of Christian. He should be right of the average Democrat but left of the average Republican, a centrist who isn’t trying to be a centrist rhetorically and politically but out of conviction a centrist.

Lastly this person must have an extremely high ’emotional intelligence’ regarding being able to express white people’s fears and apprehensions about this ‘brave new interracial world’ without seeming weak or silly. He needs to do that in a way that retains the dignity they (white folk) deserve in the abstract of human history. I know that’s a hard sell not only for Native Americans and Ninjas but it is a hard sell even to the Europeans, Chinese, and Russians at this point. And I must be brutally honest here, I’ve been looking at white folk a long time, nearly 52 years and while I’m quite often surprised by their genius and the things they come up with I don’t see a statesman or a real leader on the horizon. The current crop of Republicans don’t have that level of leadership or cajones. I feel sorry for Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell’s wives. That’s why you never hear about them. I think Melania, Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao and Lindsay Graham’s wife (oh excuse me, the woman he supposedly almost married in his 20’s that was a flight attendant named Sylvia) should write a tell all book. You can tell a lot about a man by what he does and doesn’t appreciate in a woman and them dudes have a lot of psychological backstory going on. Either way none of them dudes is the type of White man or leader that can save either the Republican Party or America from itself.

As I said I been watching White mainstream society for 56 years and I don’t see any statesmen on the horizon from any political party or the private sector. I see tech wizards, retarded doctors, dudes promising to put people on Mars and shit like that but I don’t see a leader who can heal, rebuild and strengthen the American experiment in Democracy. I see White boys dedicated to a lot of things. Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham et al but they cannot win the soul of anything because like attracts like and they are all soulless, politically impotent and dawdling in the face of a politician like Trump. Whether they are inherently spineless or not, Trump shows them up to be spineless by how he treats them. Trump says “I’m going to make them accept everything I do or else.” They fall for it every time too, talking tough political talk about the bullies they would stand up to in the world like Putin and Jin Ping but won’t confront the school bully beating up people in their own school bathroom during lunch and after recess. A bully, bullies all of the nerds until one nerd gets the confidence to argue to the other nerds that theoretically they could join forces and jump the bully by himself in the bathroom and perhaps secure a victory. In the process they could make the argument to the bully that if he ever bullies any of them individually or otherwise again they’d get nerds from other schools to ‘beat his got damn ass’! Nerds of the world would unite and the first bully they’d get to would be you and they’d ruin your credit, hack your email, hack your photos on your phone and send out compromising ones worse than Anthony Weiner’s.

They are spineless in the face of Trump and would ride on a train driven by a mad man bound for the hellfire and scrap heap of political history thinking that it is in their political career interest to jump off at the last minute once they get enough momentum from Trump’s base. Only the last minute never comes with Trump or his base (note Jan 6, 2021). Instead of being creative and staking out new positions for the Republican Party (something real statesmen would do) they sit around playing footsie with Trump’s base. Trump’s base has already proven not only do they not like ‘traditional establishment Republicans’ they have built their movement around destroying them. Come on Lindsay and Mitch, the “drain the swamp” chants weren’t just directed at Democrats and the bureaucracy! How Republican politicians who have prided themselves and their entire careers on being political adepts can be running around trying to find common ground with people who built their movement by ‘hating you’ is a blunder that not only will ultimately destroy their political legacies but may destroy the Republican Party as well.

Paul Ryan was full of confidence and bravado when he was insulting poor Black people and Black culture by suggesting Black poverty is due to a ‘culture’ of generations of Black men in the inner cities who are ‘not even thinking about fathering the children they spawn, husbanding the maternalia familia and working and thus do not care to learn the value and the culture of responsibility and working’. Furthermore he said ‘being poor makes you lazy’. Oh yes, Paul Ryan didn’t give a damn about potentially hurting other’s feelings or sparking criticism and challenging the ideas of others then but Paul Ryan is crickets and silence when it comes to lobbing the lowest level of criticism Trump’s way. How courageous Paul Ryan was in lecturing a people enslaved and repressed 450 years about WTF is wrong with them! Ryan had the courage for that but he hasn’t the courage to say what’s wrong with Trump, his supporters and the Republican establishment????? The so called ‘brains’ of the Republican Party has been unmasked as another career politician more interested in courting favor with a rabid Trump base than protecting the old patrician, healthy fiscal conservatism and social conservatism which was the exact opposite of everything Trump and his supporters are about. The old guard Republicans had the intellectual heft to write and talk about Murray’s ‘Bell Curve’ and use its academic foundations as a screen for their often blatant racism. Trump and his base have no need for the academy, academics or even Buckley or Burke; they simply live the ‘Bell Curve’ claiming it’s implications about race all the while not realizing they are their own version of everything they hold contemptible in Negroes. Why read or write an 800 page academic treatise on why and how Black and brown people are inferior to you……just live it!

That is the difference between Trump’s base and the old guard intellectual and cultural conservatism. You can’t very well attack Black people for being poor and then be surprised when the Republican Party is taken over by a wing populated by its poorest and most uneducated constituents. Similarly the Republicans spent years vilifying ‘special interests’ (usually read race or sexuality interests) and the same poor white folk want their own ‘special treatment’ culminating in being able to run roughshod over Capital Police chanting ‘USA-USA’ because you damn well please.

Trump and Republicans have spent years vilifying Antifa and BLM apparently just to prove that if white folk do more damage than Antifa or BLM ever did to cities or the reputation of our county they can do it with relative impunity simply because they are white. Thus presumably it is their country to tear up the capitol of if they want to! In essence poor whites want to protect privileges they’ve never had (as opposed to the white conservative and white liberal elites). They’ve never enjoyed it which is why they are so gung ho for Trump and this new chaotic era!

Paul Ryan won’t put a toe in the water to take aim at Trump as the very soul of what conservatism used to mean (aristocratic meritocracy, intelligence, money, high culture) gets drained out of the Republican Party and is replaced with the Trump ‘cool-aid’. White men need to take the Republican Party back before they set their sights on taking their country back. These angry white men need healing.

At the risk of turning this essay into comedy I’m going to offer to the Republicans the age old response amongst Black men in lower socio-economic orders to varieties of personal, health and social problems. Black culture for some reason (I’m not exactly sure) quite often argues that sexual activity is a healing, corrective or medicinal kind of activity. If you comment around your Negro male friends that you’re stressed out someone will invariably laugh and say “you need some pussy.” If you have a supervisor at work (male or female) with a bad attitude on most occasions, on the days when the supervisor has a good attitude the comment is quite often made that “they must have got them some last night.”

Perhaps you meet a young man of age and they are physically awkward around the opposite sex, do not have rhythm and can’t dance and they are immature and silly for their age or (right or wrong) appear effeminate. Invariably someone will remark (within earshot or not) that the dude needs some pussy…….fast! Apparently sex will do wonders for your personality. I have even been told that a man not only needs to release his ejaculate regularly for good mental and physical health, I have been told that a ‘gentleman’ must get his vitamins and minerals regularly (if not just as often). These things are quite often presented in urban male culture as anecdotal truths and I’ll have my readers know right now that piece of Negro folk wisdom is something I can live with. Like the song says “I don’t mind and I don’t mind”.

I might even take it as truism possibly provable scientifically, not just anecdotally. Is it hard to believe that regularly hugging, kissing, ‘feeling each other up’ and finally making the act happen is a bad thing with someone you love and are committed to? Is it hard to believe that feeling needed, wanted, close to someone, nay even intimate is not some kind of bad thing or a matter of ambivalence? I believe these sentiments are properly expressed through marriage at best and long term monogamy at worst. That is my opinion for as I said earlier “I don’t mind and I don’t mind.” And then we as a society wonder why we’re so alienated from one another, why the divorce rate is so high, why people are so anxious they have to take anxiety meds (let alone street drugs), why violence is increasing, crime is increasing, why people are hooking up using technology to attempt to do something for them mother nature (in her heyday) was quite content to do for us.

Part III

I think one of the problems is sorta like we humans like plastic, creatively manufactured and synthetic fabrics and things in general. We are quite easily amused in our own vanity that we are (as it were) helping mother nature and making mother nature better. How vain and arrogant of us. Long before we made hermaphrodites nature herself had no problem occasionally doing it and we think our political creation of them is somehow better and improving sex. The porn, the sex toys, the hooking up, the debasing nature of the free for all sexuality; are we and can we actually improve sex? We humans are going to improve the act with laws, freedoms and technology? Really?

How is that working for Japan, the only country in the world I am told that sells more adult diapers than it does infant and toddler diapers? How is that working Europe and America as your birth rates shrink comparative to the the developing world? Are you scared white man? Is that why you are building walls and fences and electing politicians who argue they are protecting you and your interests by putting Latinos and Blacks in their place? Is that why you are looking for technological solutions when the easiest solutions are right under your noses. You got the money, you can afford the kids white folk, start fucking like rabbits. I see y’all on television and your television programs and media is filled with sex but the birth rate is declining. That irony should not be lost on anybody. The Japanese are technically and technologically freaky (no disrespect intended). I am told (hmm, hmm) that their sex dolls are amongst the best in the world in terms of technological and materials excellence compared to actual human features and behaviors. Are all of those accoutrements doing shit for the Japanese and European birthrates, no. Is all the porn? Is all the freedom with which we discuss sex on television and in the media in western countries?

Ladies and gentlemen I’m afraid God is real and the idea that we’ve made anything better (including sex) is highly problematic. Just today in an evolutionary psychology Facebook group I read a comedic entry where a group of monkeys is saying to an alien interviewer “everything was okay until our cousins got uppity.” We caused the Pandas ‘and lions and tigers and bears’ to go extinct (oh no) but now we’re the ones to save them? The same technology we used to destroy them and their habitat, we’re now going to depend on to save them? How arrogant. Were I in the animal kingdom I would question these white folks. You say you love me but you put me in zoos and then tell me you’re doing it for my own good. You put me in zoos and then take my land, sell it, make profits off it and live your best life. You say you love me but not as much as you love yourself. And that is the problem.

Part IV

Everybody loves a clown but it is not a good idea to build a political party in the capital of the free world around a clown. Nor is it a good idea to humor the clown. One of the hallmarks of the ‘counterintuitive’ movement (which I find quite often useful) is that in surveys clowns are some of the most feared personas in the world! And not just ‘Pennywise’. Ladies and gentlemen that is no psychological coincidence. Eventually everybody laughs at clowns just for doing their ‘spiel’ and just because you want (or need) the ‘trick pony show’ to end as quickly as possible so adults can get back to the real work of governing.

But once somebody makes the argument a clown (anybody) can run your government guess what….ANYBODY can run your government. That is all Russia had to do in their usage of Trump to destabilize America. They have succeeded beyond their wildest imaginations to the point that now they have actually succeeded too well. The recipe for constant, consistent surveillance is anonymity. Once the cat is out of the bag yes congratulations are in order but your enemy will be much more alert to your ‘activities’. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of these Alexi Nevalny protests were not only motivated by a genuine outpouring of Russian ‘sensibilities’ but also motivated and financed by CIA and FBI operatives pissed off at Russian interference in US elections and other forms of economic, financial and political espionage.

And this is how the world got Trump. It is the outcome of a society and institutional bureaucracy that thinks it cannot make a mistake and if it does happen to make a mistake, ruling is their birthright thus no one should complain, protest or ask for an apology. This is the white man’s country and if they want to elect a jackass that will run it in the ground that is their prerogative as white people. That is what happens when you propagandize people who are so ignorant they really believe the Western Allies started WW I and Jewish conspirators and elites sold the German people out. Excuse me, wrong historical context, so ignorant they really believe that white America didn’t beat the shit out of the Native Americans and take the land and didn’t enslave millions and multiple generations of Africans in order to wrest the productivity from the land and it was all white genius. And ninjas and brown people shouldn’t be complaining and just accept the natural order.

Everything cotton meant in the European and global economy of the 18th and 19th centuries was off the land of Native Americans and the backs, blood and sweat of African Americans. And yet white men are so ignorant of that history that they can be convinced that America circa 2021 owes them something and if they don’t ‘take it back’ , a la January 6th they will lose it forever! Ah, Anon, and the conspiracy to take back what was never yours. All conspiracy theories whether the illuminati, Q Anon, Protocols of the Elders of Zion etc are all products of ignorant ages and ignorant people. Einstein wasn’t the hell worried about conspiracy theories just physics. Those who can’t do it for real do it in conspiracy theories.

The European global economy was built off the backs of slaves in the Caribbean, South America, North America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia; virtually imported, exported and appropriated like inanimate objects. The very same things white folks are complaining about now, global warming, plants and animals going extinct, habitat destructions, reef systems hundreds of thousands of years old dying off within 500 years of the apogee of white European western civilization; human civilizations have risen and died hundreds of thousands of times in the earth’s history but only the white man’s has the potential to virtually destroy itself and the world in its megalomaniacal vanity and ambition.

Native Americans and Negritude, ask your ancestors was any one of them ever asked by white folk would they accept wage labor for the legal ability to buy and own land (the American dream), respect for your legalized familial associations, equal treatment under the law and the legally protected ability to own your own ‘means of production’? That is why Paul Ryan’s and Charles Murray’s bullshit about the ‘cultural’ and ‘genetic’ means of rationalizing away post-modern Black socio-economic pathologies is ludicrous. And that is the definition of racism ladies and gentlemen. For yourself and your in group the varying states of human individuals and cultures have been interpreted as simply natural human foibles. For others (read Black and brown people) they are regarded as ‘pathologies’ and like Hitler said, human traits defined as racial pathologies, bacteria and vermin are ripe to be exterminated.

To have been a slave owner or descended of slave owners is an account of history not an unforgivable sin. Much of the rise of the Right Wing and post-modern Right Wing extremism we Black people contributed to in that the definition of ‘racism’ kept changing like a perpetually moving goal line. It went from Black people wanting ‘Equal treatment under the law’ to wanting/needing affirmative action (i.e special treatment under the law) to now a white person is supposed to be concerned about ‘micro-aggressions’! This white man is reading on a 10th grade level whether he has a high school diploma or not, cranking country music, getting drunk off Budweiser (now owned by a European multi-national brewery), socializing and carousing with his Confederate Flag flying in the wind, this ninja (I use the word like a general pronoun) wouldn’t know a ‘micro-aggression’ if it attacked him like Travis the Chimp.

When you set your demands above other people’s capacity or genuine desire to capitulate you inevitably run the risk of the people you are making demands on just giving up trying and comforting themselves in resisting you for obviously unfair demands. I suspect a certain type of broke uneducated white man is tired of jumping through ninja ‘micro-aggression’ hoops and having to respect other people (foreigners of all stripes and educated ninjas) when don’t nobody respect him as an uneducated broke white dude. When I explain to Black audiences that in some senses White men deserve sympathy y’all look at me incredulously. For that reason I’ll tell a little story which I shall relate to you presently.

Put yourself in the shoes of a white man (note I’m not saying white woman). He went to a high school where he was the prom king. His high school sweet heart now wife was the prom queen. He lettered in 4 sports (track, football, baseball, basketball). His cousin was Salutatorian and the guy up the street from him (white too of course) was the valedictorian. And now at the same public high school, some ninjas have dominated basketball, football and track. Hispanics have taken over the baseball team. Some mulatto of some sort is “miss (insert your formerly white high school); some Indian (not Native American but far eastern) is the Valedictorian and some Chinese kid is the salutatorian. Some Korean kids dominated the orchestra band and got top spots to Julliard, meanwhile your kid came in 4 steps above playing chopsticks. 2 or 3 housing complexes that have been taken over by Mexicans now feed your former high school 2 or 3 generations of Catholic breeding and now notwithstanding the other statistics Mexicans are 49% of the school’s population.

I’m not asking a question of right or wrong or of historical debts. I’m asking how you would feel if you were that white man. And that is precisely my problem with contemporary liberalism as regards race. Anybody you negotiate with, for any reason, you have to let them save face or else like the Treaty of Versailles it will breed resentments and brew anger that will stew and explode as it partly did on January 6, 2021. The part I find ironic is that white folk accepted all of these foreigners in the culture partly because they preferred them to we of Negritude. Now these Chinese, Indians (far eastern) are smarter than the white man and the white man has to practice reverse affirmative action against Chinese and Indians because they are so dominant in academic fields and standardized tests. So much statistical excellence is there that if white people didn’t select for their own, Asians and Indians (not native Americans) will take all the top spots. How do you expect poor white people to feel? A conspiracy theory is better and easier than knowing enough history to know how global geo-political socio-economic trends point towards certain signs.

Black people rejoiced like we did when the OJ verdict came out when anthropologists and statisticians argued that by 2050 America would be majority colored at least in significant swaths of the North American continent. And just like the OJ verdict, you looked around and saw white people silently crying. I argue the solution for whites is more fucking and stable marriages; they however seem to to think they need whites only political parties, fences and walls. We have to let white folks know that they can be vulnerable around us and we are not going to take advantage of it. Nay, we even love them as fellow Americans and human beings! Ain’t God good. Let us all live lives worthy of God’s forgiveness for as Jesus did “suggest” ‘forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespassed against us.”

But the Bible also says that there is nothing wrong with good fences (landmarks). As a matter of fact, good clear consistent fences make good neighbors and the anecdotal evidence shows. We of Negritude might need to slow down on the white jokes. If they are storming the capital painting their faces (like clowns), destroying prime manifest symbols of the United States Federal Government Authority all the while chanting ‘USA-USA’ clearly somebody needs a Dr. Phil intervention fast. When you threaten your son and tell him that if he tells the authorities that you were there at the capital you will kill him, somebody needs a Dr. Phil, Oprah and Iyanla style intervention fast (since we love pop celebrity psychology and sociology).

That kind of behavior by angry white men is damn near as idiotic as Black people demanding to ‘defund the police’ in the middle of a Black on Black crimewave where hurt family member after hurt family member after hurt mamas and aunt-tees come out and seek justice; official legally sanctioned justice by the presently construed criminal justice system of this here United States.

You used to have to be smart to be a critic, now you just have to be crude and vulgar and play to peoples ignorance. And that is one of the problems of commercial culture unhinged from good old fashioned Judeo-Christian-Protestant values of hard work and family and the notion that those things were values in and of themselves whether they ‘paid off’ or not in this world. Now the average American would just as soon flip houses and buy ‘Game Stop’ stock than believe in what they do with their heart, mind and soul as a professional; working to get experience, refine their craft and exercise in excellence not just making money. Let alone any kind of ultimate good and act of service proceeding therefrom. We’d just as soon and pray to God to get in a favorable car wreck rather than go to college or develop professional expertise. WTF kind of society is that? Here in Atlanta immediately after the perpetual political commercials were over after the last run off election, ambulance chaser lawyers came back with their commercials saying with a wink and a nod as if ambulance chaser lawyers are not just as far down on the list of stereotypically despicable characters in any society as corrupt and ambitious politicians, “aren’t you glad the political commercials are over, let us get you some money” (without going to school, learning a trade, developing a professional love or expertise in anything or even having a damn thing to say behind your name on your tombstone.” Jesus Christ America!

You need leadership and cats and witches are sitting around playing ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ and other internet games professionally. America is lost and that is why it thinks it Has a talent that the masses can vote on and that makes it real talent. Last time I checked not a single idol winner or any other singing show made a real lasting original contribution to music. Bachelors and Bachelorettes, Reals Housewives, Liaisons and Tri-asons, socially acceptable prostitution. And who doesn’t love an opportunity to vote, early and often. Americas got talent? WTF. Talent is being you in the face of an America filled with wall to wall mediocrity and inanity on a level you have to ask yourself are people for real or is this some kind of cruel joke.

Kierkegaard and Nietzsche were completely different brands of existentialists but the one thing they agreed on and abhorred with vehemence was the crowd, the mob, the fashionable and the convenient and the conveniently holy. Mob justice. The kind of Jan 6, “USA-USA” chanting justice. Smacking of the French Revolution and Russian early 20th century anarchy is not a plus (depending upon what circles you travel in and whose paying you). Ah but every killing age love it’s weapons technology and America is selling guns and bullets faster than it can produce them; an age of fools and the silent. Every killing age loves it’s ‘conveniences’ and the guillotine diced more than the air; France’s own ‘strange fruit’ from liberalism gone wild.

Real talk, I be laughing at AOC, all cute and angry and resentful with a laundry list of complaints and criticisms against ‘the man’, but not too many original ideas. But I can tell that she has begun to take things personally. And when you take things personally, your Yoda needs to step in and say ‘anger and resentment lead to fear, fear to hate, hate to the dark side’. I’m going to need her to stay on the side of ‘The Force’ because it is in her, but so is the anger, the resentment and the capacity for the ‘dark side’ of American politics which is exactly not what the country needs right now.
