Keisha and Stacy got knocked the “^@#$$” out!

Have you ever been scrolling through YouTube videos and boxing matches and MMA fights come up; and street fights and brawls pop up. The key to your time on the video is A) the amount of time it takes to get to the knockout punch and B) how dramatically effective the knock out punch is. Keisha, Stacy and Fani are in danger of in the words of proverbial Youtubes of this nature, ‘getting knocked the fuck out’. In all honesty I haven’t had time to reflect on Keisha quitting on us and leaving us in the lurch (us being Black Atlanta). Oh my, herr author, der schriftsteller.

Also I’m trying to rein myself in from attacking Keisha in the manner in which I’m accustomed. In the old days we were told ‘you don’t kick a man when he’s down’. Clearly Keisha is down and perhaps for the count. In these circumstances I feel bad enough criticizing her, but then I suspect she may be having family issues as well. I contrast this with my opinions of Paul Ryan, who quit ostensibly to ‘spend more time with his family’, a prospect I hardly believe. He quit tucking his tail between his legs and fleeing the Trump political juggernaut. While Keisha said nothing about family considerations in her quitting on us, I suspect they may have weighed more heavily on her mind than we and she are allowing for. And certainly for a post-modern liberated professional ‘strong Black superwoman’, who supposedly has it all, the husband, the family, being a mother, a lawyer, and being the mayor of a major city; the idea of having to quit her job because of being ‘in the family way’ is an anathema. In this regard she got knocked the fuck out as a feminist archetype of the successful Black woman that has it all.

Family problems notwithstanding, it must be something that made her quit because she quit at the worst possible time in her mayoral history and it’s presenting Black Atlanta with its most significant crisis since Black people took over political power in Atlanta. Buckhead is testing the water in seeking to separate from Atlanta because of perceptions of crime. Any child with an allowance has sense enough to know that Buckhead ceasing payments into city coffers would be disastrous. What is worse, Brian Kemp, a deep country white Republican governor is sending Law Enforcement personnel and resources to Atlanta to help we poor niggers with our ‘crime problem’ in a city that has been in Black political bureaucratic hands for damn near 50 years; the home of Martin Luther King jr and the Civil Rights Movement; the home of the Atlanta University Center; the home of a once thriving and ambitious Black working, middle class and elites. As if it couldn’t get any worse for Keisha, the Georgia State Legislature, which is largely Republican has continued it’s yearly habit of floating the idea of taking control of Hartsfield Airport away from Atlanta (for all intents and purposes Black people). These same White mainstream state forces beat the drum of Black incompetence by exercising oversight on Fulton County Elections.

This brings me to another point I recently realized on the subject of Black female politicians that are in danger of getting knocked the fuck down or are in serious danger of getting ‘knocked the fuck out’. WTF was Stacy Abrams doing when with all her election triumphs she completely misread the Republican tenacity in legislatively going after the very voter patterns (mail in voting, drop boxes, etc.) that helped her and Democrats win historic elections. Apparently Republicans and the Republican Party have no interest in actually trying to appeal to Blacks and minorities and are content to devote all of their attention to changing election rules to restrict and repress Black and minority voting.

For a long time Stacy was no where to be seen or heard from as Republicans worked their political magic and backroom-backdoor sessions. Kemp and the Republicans did this to such great and dramatic a climax as a Democratic Party Black female representative Park Cannon knocking on the door during the signing of the law “overhauling elections” and not only being barred from the signing of the bill but getting her ass ‘locked the fuck out and locked the fuck up (arrested)’! Similar incidences of Republicans changing rules that didn’t favor them happened in Texas and elsewhere throughout the Southeast and other Republican strongholds with large enough numbers of minorities white folks feel the need to repress them. Between Park Cannon and Big Stacy, I think they could have beat the walls of Jericho down and in any case, if Stacy would have had her big charismatic ass there I doubt capital police would have dared to arrest Park Cannon. But Stacy was no where to be found, certainly not defending Park Cannon her feminist/womanist ally.

Stacy was nowhere to be seen or heard as all of this was taking place. Then Stacy lost complete control of the situation as on and off again boycotts began occurring. Then opposing boycotts, then your local Black mafia pastors and preachers called for a boycott, in any case everybody on the Black left was cackling like hens with competing messages and in complete disarray. Nature abhors a vacuum and when Stacy went AWOL all the Negro traditional peanut gallery community activists and preachers jumped in to ride the BLM waves of Black anger and resentment. As for our decrepit crop of mediocre Black preachers, if you can’t get people to come to Christ by the Message and the Holy Ghost you try to be post-modern Civil Rights leaders, community activists and organizers, leading boycotts in an economic environment not yet out of the the grips of COVID19. When everybody started going for ‘delf’ as my Wu-Tang friends know, Stacy started waffling. One minute she said ‘well if they want to protest it’s okay’, then a few days later she retracts it and says now isn’t the time to boycott. The ultimate effect of this was the movement to encourage the National Baseball League to move the All Star Game from Atlanta/Cobb County Truist Park because of the Republican legislative rollback of voter rights laws seen to benefit Democrats and Liberals.

But I found out what Stacy was doing as this tragedy was unfolding. She was working on her latest romance novel! It was published recently. If I’m not mistaken it was published in the last few days. I have not read it but I suspect its merits are relatively few; at least as compared with the colossal impact of Republican measures to restrict voter access and the complete crumbling of the solid Black Left as they quarreled and debated the relative merits of boycotts.

From one author to another Stacy, I ain’t ‘joaning’. I simply find it hard to believe that out of all Stacy’s romance novels I’ve never heard anyone say the books were particularly good or bad…which is obviously a worse situation than being acknowledged to be good but I argue it’s worse than being bad too because at least if you were so bad you stunk up the place people would remember you, and the next time view any improvement with a lens of grace.

Not only that, she’s written multiple books of non-fiction and here again I’ve never heard one critic take something out of context and say ‘hey look Stacy must be crazy’ or question her sexuality or question anything. Apparently her books must be exceptionally bland because I doubt the Republicans wouldn’t have made every effort (including her novels) to get some dirt, some psychodynamic dirt on her.

Part II

And make no mistake about it, the Republicans really went after her and said as much; to the point that I felt sorry for her. I saw what happened to OJ. In Round One Stacy did better than expected running for governor, so score that round for Stacy. In Round Two Stacy helps Warnock, Ossoff and Biden get elected, so score that round for Stacy. In Round Three however, the Republicans scored a couple blows to the dome (Stacy’s head but also to Democracy and voter access in Georgia and all America) making her stagger and stumble, so Round Three goes to the Republicans. We will see how she does in Round Four but either way perhaps she will be content to write and sell books.

And yes, Keisha got her ass ‘knocked the fuck out’. I’ll continue my boxing metaphor if you please. In so many regards this wasn’t a good time for Keisha to quit. And yet like my conflicted feelings about Stacy and her literary ambitions, I cannot help but wonder if all of the talk about Keisha being on the the short list for Vice President, her getting the position in the Democratic National Committee, Keisha taking red carpet style pictures with other high profile Black female politicians and entertainment celebrities; I wonder whether or not they had Keisha’s mind on the horizon rather than focused on the problems of Atlanta?

And Fani Willis needs to learn from Stacy and Keisha’s mistakes in gauging how the perception of having ‘personal’ or ‘political reasons’ for doing things (or taking particular policy stances) works. Days after some cops roughhouse protestors near the AUC Keisha and the then Police Chief stand on a podium and fire them…..in complete contradiction to law and due process. Keisha is a lawyer mind you. The only reason to do such a things is succumbing to political pressure; public pressure from the Negro Celebrity cultures, and BLM peanut gallery.

Morale amongst Police, 911 and the Fire Department plummets. Cops admittedly ‘let things go’ to avoid criticism and scrutiny and controversial or possibly dangerous situations. Meanwhile crime skyrockets as the effect of her summarily firing police officers for clearly political reasons takes its toll. In the face of public pressure from the Black media celebrity class, BLM and other assorted movements Keisha made some terrible mistakes in judgement.

The Wendy’s parking lot debacle is nearly ALL, YES nearly ALL attributable to Keisha’s lapse in political and common sense judgement. 1) It was bad enough that a man got shot by the police in Wendy’s parking lot. 2) Then the Wendy’s which employed many persons from the community magically burned down. 3) Then Keisha and the then female homosexual Police Chief were content to have the parking lot patrolled; but not patrolled by by APD, the National Guard, Fulton County Sheriffs or State Troopers but by young Black men armed with AK 47s with no shirt on and wearing masks long before Covid19 hit. WTF Keisha! **Note to readers, the only reason I mentioned the fact that the former police chief was female and gay was because it allows me a perfect time to criticize this notion of ‘Dream Team’ public officials….like if you get public officials of the right race or sexual disposition it automatically means some kind of improvement. Who could be more sympathetic to Black interests than a police chief that is a woman and gay (which is to say marginalized). Yet she lost the confidence of the public, the confidence of Keisha and what is altogether worse, the confidence of many police and public safety officials as cops with years of service found out they were fired in the news media on television or in the newspaper (like more than a few of Trump’s employees); as they were fired in high profile press conferences held by none other than Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and the former Police Chief. When Trump fired people in press conferences, without the dignity of even sending them an email in advance of their public firing, liberals criticized it as a sign of not only Trump’s political incompetence but political malfeasance as well; but when Keisha and the gay female former police chief do it, because of the influence BLM, the Black Mafia Preacher Corps, the Black fake Johnny Cochran lawyer corps and other ‘all and sundry’ assorted Black community activists like Markel Hutchins and rabble rousers of varying stripes they get pats on the back….that is…until the political and legal idiocy of what they did and for all intents and purposes continue to do eventually gets exposed as terrible public policy, expensive public policy and humiliating and that is what is happened to Keisha. But she still shouldn’t have quit on us.

Not surprisingly, Atlanta Police Department morale declined even further. Can you imagine being held accountable for helping people who literally think of you as the enemy and throw water bottles filled with pee and rocks at you and hurl insults at you when crimes are committed against them, when their houses are on fire, when they are choking, when their hearts have stopped, when their baby mama/daddy is nutting up, etc. The feeling that the City of Atlanta is now tolerating crime for socio-political reasons has now become self evident. Presumably pressure from BLM and the Negro Preacher Mafia always looking for something to protest swayed Keisha. And Keisha gave in as she and the Police Chief demanded the cops head on a plate within days of their alleged infractions. And yes, videos don’t lie, but they do get continually ‘de- and re-contextualized’; thus it was neither Keisha nor the police chief’s responsibility to deal with it the day after the incident occurred just because of what the video showed or is publicly contextualized and intellectualized in the media to show. And now recently, days before Keisha quit the ruling comes out that the APD has to give the officer in question his job back. And Keisha is a trained lawyer mind you. These kinds of political blunders are horrible but then to quit after they began rolling out? If Donald Trump didn’t quit, literally and figuratively why the fuck should Keisha? She’s got to be hiding something more than political incompetency.

The notion of out of control crime in Atlanta nearly completely works against the BLM and Crump arguments. The notion of out of control crime itself weakens Black leadership. And here I need to visit Fani Willis briefly. She’s going for the death penalty on the crazy white boy that shot up the massage parlors. I’m not sure how many people died but I know recently we have had a couple weekends in a row where 3-5 niggers get shot and at least one or two dies but Fani ain’t raising hell about that. Crime is acknowledged by the mayor, the City Council and most obviously Buckhead but Fani got time to seek the death penalty for the white boy that went crazy because he needed some pussy and Donald Trump . This notion that “we”, meaning we of Negritude can’t fix our crime problem and the white man must help us is a bigger problem than Fani’s prioritization of seeking the death penalty in the spa shooting case and going after Donald Trump for seeking to manipulate the election (which everybody already knows he did because the Georgia Secretary of State recorded it on tape). This is not a good look in the home of the Civil Rights Movement, The home of Martin Luther King Jr, the home of the AUC center, the home of 50 years worth of mayors, school board members, etc. Ladies and gentlemen it ought not be so. That ain’t a good look.

And Kemp was only to happy to oblige our dysfunction as he sent State Troopers and other Law Enforcement Staff and Consulting to “help” Atlanta (a Black City) with its out of control crime problem. I remember watching Kemp’s press conference where he used language like “the crime problem in Atlanta has gone on too long and gotten out of hand because people (Black people by default) ignored it or otherwise weren’t smart of quick enough to deal with it.

Keisha quit within a week of that press conference by Governor Kemp. Yes Keisha, that is enough to quit over. Yes, the whole of Black Atlanta should feel humiliated that we need white people to help us with our Black on Black crime problem; let alone general crime. But Keisha quitting under such circumstances is even more humiliating! This is because I don’t believe Keisha has to be knocked out; even though she has lost every round surrounding the aforementioned issues her mayoral tenure so far.

She still could have staggered to her corner. But Keisha quit on us. She left Black Atlanta in the lurch, virtually rudderless about to be a free for all of mediocrity in a race to the bottom of candidates for what should have been Keisha’s second term but now is going to be Andre Dickens. Dickens is ‘the type of nigga that in elementary school would let you and other nerds and freaks get beat up on the playground by the bullies; but an hour later in class Dickens gives you a wink and a nod and wants to copy off your paper’. Felicia Moore ran against Dickens but she is the type of nigga that combines being awkward and plain in a way that is the opposite of charisma and the charismatic. Do you remember when one of the Gabor sisters accused Michelle Obama of looking like a ‘washerwoman’? Felicia Moore looks like a nanny from Jamaica or from somewhere else in the negroid developing world working in a White families household (in Buckhead). I’d just as soon envision her walking two White kids in the park (that park off West Wesley) than as mayor of Atlanta. I will probably get pilloried for saying such a thing but alas. As Buckhead tries to secede from the union, gentrification changes racial balances in favor of whites and immigrants and the state legislature tries to take the Airport Keisha quit on us.

Or maybe like Stacy and her “Romance Novels”, Keisha had other priorities. Perhaps ‘Uncle Joe’ will help her land on her feet with a good job. Maybe she has a book in her like Stacy? Stacy and Keisha used to be on CNN and the popular media talk shows during the George Floyd and other protests getting ‘feted and facetimed’, skyped, interviewed and interrogated on major media outlets. At one point Keisha was almost ‘America’s Mayor’ like Juliani was. Never was the phrase more true “oh how the mighty have fallen” than in regards to Juliani the day he stood with Bush on 9/11 and today as ‘flunkie’ for Donald Trump. I’ll never forget seeing Stacy on the Colbert show trading repartee and witticisms with Stephen Colbert, chatting and chopping it up. Meanwhile Black voting rights were getting curtailed and repressed in Georgia and the response of the Black left, which she had every right to argue she was the voice of and the leader of, ended up so muddled and confused the Black preacher mafia took over and called for a boycott whether Stacy agreed or not.

Meanwhile Oprah’s on and its 2 a.m. and I hear gun shots in Atlanta; the Black Mecca. Lord help. And in the midst of that Keisha quit on us. Is she knocked out? Or is this a strategic move to end up in Uncle Joe’s cabinet somewhere or the DNC? Stay tuned. She needs to have me as an aide, she’d be knocked down but not knocked out. All of these present trials and tribulations would be fodder for a comeback story. Keisha ain’t down for the count but she’s gotta get to the corner, sit her ass down, take a swig or two of water or maybe something else depending upon her constituency, let her corner crew nurse her wounds and get the halftime speech or motivational speech of a lifetime.

“Don’t let these white folks make you quit. Get yourself together Keisha. For that matter Stacy and Fani too. None of y’all can quit; Black Atlanta is in too precarious a position as it is. We need stability. Yes, your mediocre political instincts are underwhelming, yes you’re vain, yes you’re politically naïve to the point of incompetence but you can still provide the stability we need until until someone else makes a compelling case for getting in your positions.

Fani is against the death penalty unless you’re a white male and there is political pressure to be punitive. Clearly the boy had mental health problems. He blames what he calls his addiction to sex on Asian massage parlors….to the point that he felt he could recompense by shooting up massage parlors. Clearly that is a sign of a mental health problem. Now if he was a retarded Black or white man in rural Georgia Fani would be protesting trying to get the man off Death Row (and I don’t mean the Record Label). But because he’s white and white men are expendable right now, or at least more expendable than other Black and brown people who we and White liberals have politically appropriated. And because the victims were Asians where it is a political movement now or what White conservatives and libertarians call identity political movement to end hate against Asians, Fani wants to really go after this White boy. A shocking number of Asian hate crimes occur by Black people but in our defense it is usually homeless deranged Black people and teenagers (what a bizarre coincidence) doing the attacking. But when you combine that with the notion that many African Americans in lower socio-economic strata’s resent Asian business owners in poor and working class African American communities there may be more in the punch than just grapefruit juice, pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Clearly Fani is playing politics. The weird part is the Asian community isn’t making comments like they aren’t out for this white kid’s blood, just justice. I hope Fani doesn’t find herself knocked the fuck out from all of this.

And if that isn’t enough Fani has pressing charges against Trump’s behavior during the last election on her plate! WTF! Crime is out of control and one of the central persons responsible for combating it is worry about scoring Black Lives Matter and Black Mafia Preacher points off anger and resentment at Donald Trump and by extension Republicans. Come on Fani! You’re dropping your hands and not jabbing and moving! Somebody’s going to knock you the fuck out (metaphorically of course).

I’m tired of seeing my sisters get knocked the fuck out. Stacy, Keisha, and now Fani have followed in each other’s footsteps. For God’s sake get yourselves together. Everything Black people have been able to accomplish good and bad in Post-Civil Rights era Atlanta is dependent on how we handle this delicate phase. We don’t need y’all quitting and getting knocked the fuck out!
